Dr. Gomez says, “One of the most rewarding things I do is to take a patient from a state of disease, pain, infection and unawareness to a state of understanding, health, and having a reason to smile. I love to listen to my patients concerns and values, then establish a treatment that we are both comfortable with.”
Dr. Gomez has a special interest in Implant Dentistry where he has received extensive training. Dr. Gomez has completed a Preceptorship in Dental Implantology at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio, and is an alumnus of the Engel Institute Dental Implant Training.
Dr. Gomez married his high school sweetheart, April, in 2005. They have two daughters, Mabrey who is four, and Paisley who is two. They just had a baby boy, named Brayden in June. Dr. Gomez loves to raise animals on his “hobby farm” with his family. Dr. Gomez also really loves to hunt and fish.
Dr. Gomez is passionate about dental mission work as well. For the past two summers, he has set up a dental clinic in Mombasa and the Shimba Hills of eastern Kenya with Real 4 Christ Ministries. He sees many Kenyans of all ages who have never seen or heard of a dentist before. He says “The Kenyan people are so thankful and appreciative of the care we are able to provide to them, but what they don’t realize is how much of a blessing it is for us to even be there taking care of them. I once had a young teenage boy who had an abscess, pain, and swelling that walked 15 miles barefooted to be treated. It is and continues to be the most humbling experience of my life.”
