If you have a missing tooth, you might be searching for a solution that will give you great results. For many patients, that means choosing a dental implant to repair their smile.

If you are in Southeast Texas and have questions about dental implants and whether they are right for you, we encourage you to give Nederland Family Dental a call to schedule a consultation with Dr. Whitney Gomez.

Dental Implants

Dr. Gomez has placed hundreds of dental implants for our patients and enjoys a high success rate on treatment. Of course, some of the success of your dental implant will depend upon you and your attention to your ongoing oral health.

Before proceeding with dental implant surgery, a comprehensive exam with Dr. Gomez will help him determine if you are healthy enough for dental implants. Having gums that are free from infection and teeth free from decay is necessary for a successful surgery.

Dr. Gomez will also examine your bone density and identify the precise location where your dental implant will be placed. If you do not have enough healthy bone, we may recommend bone grafting prior to surgery to ensure that you end up with fully functional and healthy results that last a long time.

Once your dental implant heals and we restore it with a custom dental implant crown, the care that your dental implant requires is similar to that of your natural teeth; brushing twice daily, flossing at least once per day, and regular dental cleanings and exams will help you protect your investment and your smile.
