If you are like many of our teen and adult patients, a straight smile is extremely appealing, but the idea of brackets and wires is not. Invisalign offers an alternative to traditional braces while never compromising results. A straight, beautiful smile without brackets and a mouth full of metal provides patients with a less invasive (and embarrassing) way to enjoy the health and beauty benefits of a straight smile.

Here is what to expect when you choose Invisalign in our Nederland, TX dentist.

Dr. Whitney Gomez will evaluate your teeth and bite. If you are a candidate for clear aligner orthodontics, he will discuss the timeline and estimated costs with you. That way, you never have surprises.

We need to gather some diagnostic information to plan treatment.

Fitting Invisalign Specifically For You

X-rays – Ruling out decay and bone loss will protect your smile and give you improved overall results.

Models – We will take impressions and create custom models of your teeth. These will show us where your teeth need to move and help Dr. Gomez plan your proper alignment. He considers both how your teeth will look and that you can chew comfortably.

Your aligners – Your success depends on you! Your aligners will be comfortable, so wearing them for 22 hours per day should be easy. You can remove them for meals and to clean your teeth. Otherwise, your aligners should be on your teeth, gently moving them into alignment.

Each set will serve you for two to three weeks, and then you will graduate to the next set in the series.

Check-ups – Dr. Gomez will arrange routine follow-ups to make sure your treatment is progressing as planned.

You can expect great results that you can see throughout your treatment thanks to your crystal-clear aligner trays.
