The Florida Probe System is what exactly?
What are the possible uses for it?
Features:
Productivity has been enhanced
The System serves as your digital assistant during the periodontal exam, eliminating the need for additional staff members to chart while you probe. This boosts office productivity significantly, as only one examiner is required.
Enhanced Precision
The constant-force, computerized probe of the System ensures consistent measurements even when examiners apply varying amounts of force. This eliminates the possibility of different readings for the same patient. Additionally, our probe has a precision of 0.2 mm, enhancing measurement accuracy and aiding clinicians in accurately diagnosing and providing appropriate follow-up for patients.
Automated Charting
Instead of struggling to read the thin bands on a regular periodontal probe and make an educated guess about pocket depth, simply lower the blue sleeve of the FP Handpiece to the gingival margin, tap the Footswitch, and the numerical data will be automatically recorded. You don't even have to verbally state the number – the System takes care of this for the patient's and your convenience (sound can also be muted or personalized).
Exam that can be customized to fit your needs
You have the option to personalize the exam to include any or all of the following details: dentition, medical history, risk assessment, recession and hyperplasia, gingival attachment, pocket depth, bleeding, suppuration, furcation, plaque, mobility, MGJ, and diagnosis.
Practice safety measures
The Florida Probe System offers outstanding clinical and legal documentation. By utilizing the periodontal chart, you can create a comprehensive "treatment map" for procedures like scaling and root planing, subgingival antimicrobial treatment, or even laser therapy. When paired with the patient diagnosis sheet, these tools serve as a legal record and informed consent, ensuring the protection of your practice.
